Dispensing
The practice is a dispensing practice. Patients who live outside Boroughbridge and its immediate area are entitled to have their prescriptions dispensed from us at the surgery. Those who live within the immediate area of the practice and within a mile of the nearest chemist must use the local pharmacy.
Named GP
All Patients haven been allocated a named GP who is responsible for the Patient’s overall care.
Please contact the surgery if you would like to know the name of your GP.
Although you have a named GP, you can still make appointments with any of our doctors.
If you wish you can also ask to change your named GP and we would aim to accommodate this request wherever possible.
GP earnings
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (i.e. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients.
The average pay for GPs working at Church Lane Surgery in the last financial year (2023/2024) was £60,460.07 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 12 part-time GPs who have worked in the practice for more than six months.
